Today is the NWR Youth Fishing Derby at Folkston Elementary, hosted by the Friends of Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, and fishing is very much on our minds here too.
At Okefenokee Pastimes Cabins and Campground on Highway 121 in Folkston, Georgia, we have a catch-and-release fishing pond right on the property. Whether you are an early riser who wants a quiet hour by the water or a family looking for a morning ritual, it is one of the most loved spots on our 13 acres.
Reminder: today is also a FREE Fishing Day in Georgia. June 13 is the other one.
June and July family stays are still available: cabins, glamping tents, and pull-through RV sites. Visit okefenokee.com or call (912) 496-4472.
