But at least now I know who is laying the pretty brown eggs with white speckles. Sunshine, you might have gotten away with it if your eggs were green like your name says honey, but that doesn’t look like an Ameraucana blue egg even if I squint!

And Pot Sticker! How on earth did you even get over here??? You are a bachelor and Big Mac is gonna make sure you remain one 🤣

One even hitched a ride on Ruth’s hand for most of the chores. Probably the warmest option around since fall chill is kicking in (okay it’s below 50F and thats cold in this southerner’s book!)

Do you have any pretty moths still hanging around? And how cold does it have to be to say “it’s cold outside”?

Edelweiss has now discovered boys, yall. We plan on breeding so she kids this spring but going to wait until next cycle so it’s a little warmer when the kids hit the ground and weaning is better timed for summer plans.

Well we knew that loose scur was going to come off at some point, and that point was today.

Poor Gus has been nursing it along and trying not to head butt anyone but apparently someone got his goat and he head slammed. (He actually seems much more chill now that it’s knocked off, guess it’s like having a hang nail get trimmed.)

Clearly they are all a little wild in this pen 😬

Thanks ponies, just what we needed.

The inner electric fence had enough dog fennel touching it that it grounded out and wasn’t shocking. A certain unknown pony (though suspicions are on Dazzle) put a leg through the bottom two lines and pulled them down.

Two very well known ponies (Nacho and LaLa, I’m looking at you) then snuck through the fence to feast in the middle pasture that is supposed to be resting.

So I got to spend what was supposed to be quad-tendon pain recovery time bending over awkwardly clearing the fence line so it could be mended and re-electrified. Yay.

Thanks for the motivation ponies. So kind.
