Throwback Thursday
This one goes way back. This quilt was made by my grandmother and given to my mother as a shower gift before the 1958 wedding.
It was originally tied with red yarn. and in the mid 90s I found it in my parent’s basement all wadded up in a garbage bag.
it had been well used, and the batting inside the quilt had shifted and moved and ended up so lumpy it was unusable.

I smuggle it out of their home, took it to my house, took it apart and added new batting and then hand quilted it. In 1996 I gave it to my parents as a Christmas gift 😊

I love the smell of Lilly of the Valley.
Yesterday I had a trip to a local nursery and purchased some new plants for the yard. Then I planted a few and continued working on my project in the front of the yard —-pictures of that will be coming soon😊

Well, I finally got the hanging sleeves on the back of these two quilts— preparing for a quilt show 😊

Beauty And The Bean right down the block from Inn Stitches is such a beautiful place to slow down and relax a bit whether it be inside or out.
