A couple of weeks ago, while I was waiting for Daisy to be groomed at Bark Avenue Pet Spa, I decided to pop into Serena Lynne Boutique to say hi to Serena.

I've known this beautiful lady for years through my baby sister, and I couldn't be more proud of everything she has accomplished. Her boutique is absolutely adorable, and she is always finding new ways to make it even better!

I am especially excited about her newest idea that she's working hard to bring to life. How many of us have wished for a place in town where we can grab something that's healthy, delicious, and quick—without having to go to a chain restaurant?

I recently visited Clean Eatz in Quincy and absolutely loved it. From what Serena shared with me, her vision has a similar healthy, fresh vibe, and I can't wait to see it become a reality!

If you've never stepped foot inside Serena Lynne Boutique, I highly encourage you to stop by. Serena truly goes above and beyond for her customers, and I know you'll be glad you did.

I just love Emily Ann!!! She is so on target with this post and one of the cutest human beings I've ever seen, inside and out! Her voice is angelic and I love her music!

If you own your own business, like I do, you will understand where she is coming from here. There are days when I get stressed out and wonder what I'm doing, and if this bed and breakfast business is going to work out for me or not. I am going to try very hard to not stress out, because my future is in God's hands, and he will provide. I will not let the devil win! God has it all figured out and I just have to keep the faith!!

I love all of you who are supporting me and my small business! You have no idea how much it means to me when I read your positive comments about me and my B&B!! You all mean the world to me!! If there is anything that I can do to make my B&B more appealing, please let me know. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!!!

✨ One of my favorite things about owning Hogan's Heavenly Haven is getting to be creative in the kitchen! ✨

This morning I experimented with a delicious breakfast featuring mini garlic naan flatbread topped with farm-fresh eggs, savory sausage, colorful vegetables, and a drizzle of the incredible Sage, Mushroom & Garlic Infused Olive Oil from Pickle Creek Herbs in Fairfield, Iowa. I just happened to be at the Farmer's Market in Des Moines, Iowa a couple weeks ago where I picked me up a few sample bottles of their infused olive oils. They are really good! Supporting family owned Iowa businesses while creating memorable breakfasts for my guests brings me so much joy!

Of course, no morning is complete without my caramel latte. ☕❤️

And can we talk about my favorite coffee mug? It says:

"Dream Big • Live Simple • Be Grateful • Fall in Love • Laugh Lots."

As I read those words this morning, I smiled because that's exactly what this season of life feels like. Starting Hogan's Heavenly Haven has been a leap of faith, and I'm incredibly grateful for every guest, every encouraging word, and every opportunity to share a little hospitality with others.

I can't wait to welcome more guests around my breakfast table and create meals made with love, creativity, and a touch of Iowa-grown goodness.

Hogan's Heavenly Haven is proudly a Christian-based Bed & Breakfast. My faith inspires how I care for my guests, which is with kindness, honesty, respect, and guenuine hospitality, but I respect that everyone has their own beliefs and background.

I will never make anyone feel uncomfortable or pressured. You'll never have religion forced on you here. Whether you have a strong faith, a different faith, or no faith at all, you are sincerely and more than welcome here at Hogan's Heavenly Haven.

My goal is simple: to provide a peaceful, comfortable stay where every guest feels genuinely cared for, valued, respected, and at home.
