🏖️ Location Details 🏖️
-Located in Fort Morgan. Fort Morgan is referred to by the locals as "the island" and is a peninsula between the bay and the gulf! Fort Morgan is a right turn on to Fort Morgan Parkway just past Rouse's Grocery Store, just after crossing the bridge into Gulf Shores. Fort Morgan is still considered Gulf Shores--it's just a little off the beaten bath which results in less crowded beaches and shorter wait times at restaurants. (SCORE!) *This is why our family fell in love with the area. Visiting during holiday weekends is still doable and enjoyable...and you're just a short drive into town to get to the hustle and bustle if that's what you're craving.
-The commute from Shellena Condo into Gulf Shores takes approximately 15 minutes to get to the "T" where the Hangout is located.
-Restaurants in Fort Morgan include:

The Village Hideaway at the Beach Club (boutique shopping here as well)

-Dollar General Market is located about a mile outside of the Plantation complex where Shellena Condo is located.

-Shellena is located in the Plantation complex.
-Shellena includes 2 bedrooms--1 king size bed in the master, and 2 twin beds in the spare.
-Shellena also has brand new furniture, with a pull out queen sleeper in the sofa.
-two bathrooms as well 😄
-washer and dryer in the unit
-A stay at Shellena includes use of several pools and amenities throughout the Plantation complex including:
*multiple tennis courts (one of which is just outside Shellena's balcony)
*Your very own Sassy Bass Amazin' Grill restaurant ON SITE! Sassy Bass has amazing food (especially breakfast, yum), great mixed drinks, and an indoor/outdoor *beachfront* seating option with outdoor bar. We often go straight from the beach to have lunch here still wrapped in our towels.
*4 outdoor pools, 1 outdoor hot tub, 1 indoor hot tub, and 1 indoor pool
*2 of these outdoor pools are right outside your balcony!
*sand volleyball court
*beach chair rentals
*putting green
*Banana boat rides, sea-doo rentals, and parasailing (pay the vendor) RIGHT off of our boardwalk!
-YES Shellena condo is BEACH FRONT! Our balcony has a view of tennis court, pools, and ocean! It also has a perfect view of the Sassy Bass restaurant, which comes in handy when you have young teenagers that think it's a luxury to go out to eat by themselves.
-check-in is always at 4:00pm, and check-out is always at 10:00am
-the actual historical Fort Morgan is also very beautiful and interesting to visit. It has a small museum as well that educates about the Battle of Mobile Bay during the Civil War.
-take a ferry ride from Fort Morgan over to Dauphin Island (the ride takes about 30 minutes) and have lunch at Pirate's Cove!
We could go on and on about why we love Fort Morgan the most, but we encourage you to take advantage of the few opportunities to stay on "the island" and enjoy a more laid back and less touristy visit to the beautiful Gulf Shores. 💙
