So proud of these two Ave Maria Univ. athletes!! Caleb and his team earned a spot in the Sun Conference baseball tourney tonight and play next week at Jet Blue Field, and Emily and the beach volleyball team won the Sun Conference tournament and are currently playing in the NAIA national championships in Arizona! Go Gyrenes!!!

This Dodo bird has come out of extinction and has taken up residence at Seahabilitate. Good thing she doesn’t require a bed because Seahabilitate is completely booked for the season! There are plenty of other weeks available after Easter and the booking calendar for 2027 is open. Go visit Tilly the Dodo at Seahabilitate soon!

The directional sign we had in the front yard was swept away with hurricane Ian and it’s now time to replace it. We’d like to give a nod to those who have enjoyed Seahabilitate. If you’d like to be included in the new sign, comment with your hometown and we’ll add it.

Friends and family, we accepted quite a few summer bookings over the holidays and there’s only a handful of summer weeks left at Seahabilitate. The house has never booked this early for summer….. get your week while you can!

We had to get dessert! Between the Lani Kai and Seahabilitate is The Goodz. You cannot visit FMB without stopping at The Goodz. Their business was completely destroyed, and they are still operating out of trailers. They are truly some of the most resilient, hardworking folks on the island. It sounds like they should start their rebuild within the next several months. The plans look fantastic, and I'm sure the new Goodz will be even better than the old. It's always been a favorite stop for ice cream, and that's what we did. It was delicious, as always.

Second stop… the iconic Lani Kai. Just a few minute walk from Seahabilitate. There are several restaurants at the resort, but the Sundeck on the roof has been completely redone and has opened recently. Along with the swinging tables, there are many more tables up there, and the view is spectacular! I was talked into a blue hurricane, which was yummy, and I also had a pretty good steak. Chad ordered a cheeseburger and fries, which was huge. He said it was delicious. Prices were good for what we got. They had live music, and he really made it a fun atmosphere. Overall, if you are looking for a decent meal with fantastic views, check out the Sundeck. 😳
