There are a lot of people that have worked very hard to enable SCRV to be open and functional for the 2023 season. First of all, a huge thank you to the Kline Family, who have owned this park since 1978. Seeing the massive destruction on the 29th of Sept, the day after Hurricane Ian, they could have simply chosen to walk away. Instead, they looked around and said “we can do this” and they certainly have.
What an undertaking it has been for the dedicated crew that have literally worked 7 days a week for months. Those hard at work have been Gary, Jess and Kelley, John, Joe, Dave, Kevin and Dave Kline. Also assisting have been Bob, Rita, Chris, the ladies watering the sod and Jeff from the summer program, whose heavy equipment got the ball rolling. We had 2 gentlemen from Georgia show up after the Hurricane and they cleaned out the office and the rest of the building with their bare hands, along with other clean up in the park. I know there have been others and I apologize if I have left anyone out.
To see the park now compared to after the Hurricane is rather awe inspiring. It is not perfect by any means and there is more work to be done, but it is a testament to hard work and dedication to see how far it has come in 3 months. There will be some construction ongoing so please be patient as the park continues to rebuild.
A final shout out to Doug from FPL who persisted until he was able to do the final step to turn on the electricity. Seeing lights come on for the majority of the park was like Christmas all over again.
Once again, thank you to everyone whose hard work has enabled SCRV to be open by Jan 1st as was promised. As Bob said yesterday” It takes a village”.

Refunds have been made for the majority of Oct and Nov reservations, with the exception of the long term people that are now arriving on 1 Jan. The Dec refunds will not be made until around the 15th of November, so please be patient. Thanks for your understanding and support through these challenging times.

I also want to add that we are so grateful for the outpouring of love and support. There is no way to reply individually, of course, but we sure do love reading the comments after such long days!!! We also appreciate all the offers of help. At this time there is nothing to do but wait until the debris is removed. If I’m the future there is a need, we will certainly reach out. Again, thanks for all the emotional support!

Hello to everyone from Carolyn. My brothers and myself are all just fine. We sure do appreciate all the kind messages and emotional support as this has been very traumatic! As soon as possible we will start calling all who have reservations and/or questions, but right now we don’t have a computer or electric. We have hired a company to do the demolition of all buildings. After the debris is cleared we will start our comeback! Be assured that we will come back from this. We have a plan and our goal right now is to be in business by January 1st. We hope this will happen much sooner, but there’s no way to know when power will be restored. We are so thankful that we have the ability to rebuild. Our hearts ache for all those who aren’t so fortunate. They are the ones in my prayers! We will keep you informed as best we can. Our customers have always been our priority and you are now as well!!!

Tom and I were at the park yesterday. Utter devastation, the scope of which you can’t comprehend until you see it with your own eyes. Here are some pictures that I took and they are heartbreaking to see. The owners are determined to rebuild and come back better than ever. There will be temporary trailers with bathrooms and a trailer for the office. The clean up and demolition is starting this week. Trying to restore campground master through the data base on my lap top computer. We are also trying to have the phone transferred to the emergency Trac phone that I have. Gary, Kevin, Denise and I all survived. Gary, and I have lost our homes. I believe Denise’s place at Indian Creek was extensively damaged. Remember there is no power so people can’t charge their cell phones and cell service is spotty at best so communication is difficult.
We will all get through this. The SCRV FAMILY is very humbled and grateful for all of your care coming our way.

This is Stephanie, the Manager at San Carlos RV Park. As everyone knows, Fort Myers Beach has been devastated by Hurricane Ian. San Carlos RV Park sustained massive damage, as all the other parks and community did. Our computers and records are inaccessible at this time. If you had reservations obviously that won’t happen. We will be working to refund deposits as soon as humanly possible, but please understand the immense task in front of us. We hope to update everyone on our status as soon as possible.

For stays of 3-6 months, please email us on 1 May with your type/length of rv, number of adults/pets, and a preferred type of site if applicable. For stays of 1 -2 months, email us with your information on 1 June. Our email address is;

One of the biggest attractions of our RV Park is our docks, which are available for rent while you are camping here. However, there are a limited number of docks and it is up to the camper making the reservation to insure that they have told us that they are bringing a boat and will need a dock during their stay. Please be aware that if you arrive with a boat and it is not listed on your reservation, we can not guarantee that there will be a dock available. Also, the price of the dock is not included in the site rental, it is a separate charge.

Hello to all of our potential rv guests. We are very busy this year with so many new RVers out there and at times it may be hard to reach us by phone. We do our absolute best to return every phone call, but an email will sometimes reach us quicker to give you an answer to whether we have a site available for your requested dates. Please provide the length and type of Rv in your email and number of people. Thank you! Our email is [email protected]
