Meet Melissa Daily 🌴

If you’ve stayed with us before, you may already know Melissa. If not, we can’t wait for you to meet her!

We’d love to introduce—or perhaps reintroduce—you to Melissa Daily, the owner of Vacation Rentals in Paradise, the heart behind the short-term rentals here at Bay to Beach Resort on Fort Myers Beach.

Melissa’s love for Fort Myers Beach runs deep. Originally from Illinois, she moved to Florida in 2014, but this island has felt like home for much longer. Her parents purchased a vacation home here back in 1995, and Melissa spent many childhood spring and summer breaks soaking up the sunshine, chasing waves, and collecting seashells along our beautiful coastline. 🌊🐚

Today, Melissa lives just a few miles off the island with her husband and their young daughter—and she still can’t imagine a better place to call home.

Her connection to Bay to Beach is just as special. Melissa’s parents were original owners at the resort from 2003 to 2013. During those years, they started the vacation rental company you know and love today, Vacation Rentals in Paradise. Melissa grew up around the resort and worked here every weekend from 2014 until her parents retired in 2022.

Today, she carries their legacy forward with a whole lot of sunshine, heart, and genuine care.

For Melissa, vacation rentals have never been just about keys, check-ins, and beautiful condos. They’re about people. They’re about helping families slow down, laugh a little louder, make memories, and experience the magic of Fort Myers Beach together.

There’s nothing she loves more than seeing a guest’s face light up and knowing that, in some small way, she helped create a memory they’ll carry with them for years to come.

Melissa is passionate about taking care of every guest and every owner as if they were part of her own family. And if you meet her during your stay, don’t be surprised if you leave feeling like you’ve known her forever.

The Fort Myers Beach Offshore Powerboat Race will bring many of the nation’s premier offshore racing teams to compete along the iconic Gulf shoreline.

The excitement begins on Friday, Sept. 11, with race team arrivals, inspections, official practice sessions, qualifying, and welcome events. The Race Village opens at 9 a.m. (location to be announced), featuring race boats on display, sponsor and vendor exhibits, interactive displays and opportunities to meet drivers and crews. Teams will also be testing on the race course throughout the day, giving spectators an exciting preview of the weekend’s competition.

Throughout the weekend, visitors will enjoy meet-and-greets with race teams, opportunities to see the powerboats up close, live music, great food and family-friendly activities and a vibrant festival atmosphere.

On Saturday, Sept. 12, qualifying heats, 90+ MPH high-speed racing action, the popular public Pit Party, hospitality events and premium waterfront viewing opportunities take center stage. Guests at Bay to Beach can watch the races from the privacy of their own screened balcony or from the panoramic rooftop deck, a view that's unrivaled anywhere on Fort Myers Beach.

The weekend concludes on Sunday, Sept. 13, with Championship Day featuring morning warm-ups, the premier offshore races, the awards ceremony, and an America 250 Closing Celebration honoring the competitors while celebrating the remarkable resurgence of Fort Myers Beach.
