1.6 miles to Punta Rassa public boat ramp. Launch your boat and go up the Caloosahatchee river, over to Sanibel or San Carlos Bay.
Shell Point Golf Club (public) is 1.8 miles.

Walk 2 blocks to Tangers Outlet mall for a little shopping and less than a mile to the grocery store.
