🎉 6 YEARS OF FAMILY & FRIENDS GETAWAYS! 🎉
August marks 6 years of Family & Friends Getaways, and honestly, it’s hard to believe how far this crazy idea has come. ❤️
Back in 2020, a crazy thought popped into our heads…
Would people really want to travel to a large vacation home, have nowhere they had to be, no schedule to follow, and simply enjoy a few days together?
What if we could bring enough amenities to one location that guests wouldn’t even need to leave the property to have an incredible getaway?
So we took a chance… and here we are 6 years later! 🥂
Over these six years, we’ve:
🏡 Purchased 4 houses
🏡 Sold one
🔨 Updated and remodeled properties
🛠️ Fixed what feels like a million things
💡 And constantly asked ourselves, “What can we do next that our guests will love?”
But our biggest THANK YOU goes to our amazing guests. ❤️
You are the reason we continue to do this. Every stay, every review, every recommendation, and every family that chooses to spend their time with us means more than you probably realize.
We also couldn’t do this without our incredible team behind the scenes — our cleaners, maintenance crew, lawn crew, pool guys, our family and friends, and all of the local businesses who help keep everything running day after day. We are so thankful for every one of you!
And of course… six years wouldn’t be complete without a few stories. 😂
We’ve tackled some major projects, dealt with unexpected messes, survived plenty of pool headaches (including the time the pool emptied without us knowing 😳), made countless house upgrades, and even made it through a natural disaster.
There have been plenty of headaches along the way, but through it all, we continue to show up every day with the same goal:
Give every guest the best experience we possibly can.
We absolutely LOVE doing this for the people we host. We pour our hearts into every property and try to create the kind of vacation experience we would want for our own family — and then add a little extra. ❤️
Six years ago, we had an idea.
Today, we have three properties, an amazing team, thousands of memories, and so many incredible guests who have become part of our story.
