TRAFFIC ALERT: IH 20 Traffic Switch at FM 1788
Motorists should expect delays and changing traffic patterns on IH 20 near FM 1788 as crews implement a temporary traffic switch for ongoing construction.
When: Friday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. through Monday, Sept. 28, at 5 a.m.
What to Expect:
-Temporary closures of eastbound and westbound IH 20 main lanes near FM 1788
-Traffic detoured to frontage roads in both directions
-Single-lane traffic through the work zone
-Temporary ramp closures near FM 1788
-Delays and reduced speeds
Eastbound IH 20 (Odessa to Midland) Traffic will be shifted from the main lanes to the frontage road between mile markers 125 and 129. The eastbound on-ramp at MM 126 will remain closed until further notice.
Westbound IH 20 (Midland to Odessa) Traffic will be shifted from the main lanes to the frontage road between mile markers 129 and 125.
Drivers are urged to slow down, follow posted detour signs, and use caution while traveling through the work zone.
