For the last 2 months our lives have been filled with chaos and one crisis after another.

It's been a season of hospitalizations, hospice, hurricanes, and more heartbreak then I can possibly explain or really even process. Just 3 days ago I really wasn't sure we would actually make it here for so many reasons.

For over a year I have had a fall break cruise planned with my kids starting today. The early part of our trip was consumed by hurricane preparations and coordination on top of other personal crisis's (is that a pleural???)

I NEVER am without my phone, and I take pride in ALWAYS available to guests, but for 4 days I am not. I'm turning it off and the world will just have to survive without me. I have made guests aware and have emergency plans in place. I'm going to spend 4 days with my children, husband, sister, brother in law, and nephews and see if I can leave this dark cloud over life in the Bahamas

We survived🩵🙌💪

(I'd meant to share this yesterday, but life had other plans unfortunately)

Despite a near direct hit our condos and Waterscape as a whole came out nearly unscathed. We were BUILT for this and more, but we are also very incredibly lucky. The resort only has some "cosmetic damage" and some utility issues, but as far as I can tell our units have no signs at all of the category 3 hurricane that came barreling through just over 24 hours ago.

This was my first experience with this as an owner, but likely will not be the last. That's just the game we play unfortunately.

We are welcoming booked guests back to OUR units, but that is not the case for every owner/ every unit. If you have a trip booked in the near future reach out to your host to verify.

It's been a wild ride, but I'm very thankful we are very close to business as usual. Don't forget, we're already booking for all of 2027 😉

It looks like things have shifted yet again and we're looking at close to a direct hit at Waterscape. Mike's Weather Page is saying Navarre and Ft Walton could see some of the worst damage from what is now a category 3 hurricane.

My heart is breaking today for so many reasons, but I'm trying to smile through the exhaustion. Now we just watch, wait, and prepare.

Thank you for the HUNDREDS of linemen that are already in the area. Thank you to the first responders staying put to be early boots on the ground. Thank you to the weather teams keeping us informed and learning what they can to keep us safer in the future.

So here we are. In 24 hours this has gone from "nothing to worry about" to mandatory evacuations.

I am monitoring the situation closely and have been in contact with all our affected guests throughout a very chaotic day. I am also navigating this situation for the first time while dealing with incredibly complicated personal issues on top.

At the end of the day I am not a "professional" property manager. I am simply a mother from Tennessee who stumbled in to this world on accident 7 years ago as a way to cut my hours at my 2 standard jobs to be home more with my babies. I don't have the answers, but I'm trying my best along side of everyone else.

Please keep all of the gulf coast in your thoughts as we sit and wait to see where the next 2 days lead.

The calendar says fall, but we have summer vibes all year long.

We're pretty limited on fall dates, but now of the time to book for 2027 with a $250 deposit.

I always try to put 1000% in to pretty much everything I do. If I'm going to commit I'm all in. I have to say I'm pretty proud of the fact I have 2 properties I host in the top 10% off all homes, and 2 more recognized as "guest favorite " If you host, you know this is no small feat. Almost 7 years under my belt, and we're still going strong.

Thank you to the THOUSANDS of guests I've hosted in the past 7 years. We appreciate each and every one of you!
