Morning update: 10/10/26 9 am

Thank you to the 2 owners onsite who braved the storm for all the continued updates & photos.

Minimal damage to the grounds & fencing around Waters Edge. Seems the water surge went around our island with our dunes in tack & water did not go over them.

Power was restored at 2:45 am. (Might be due to the power companies restorations crews staying at the Wyndham Hotel next door.)

I do not have any word yet on the interior of my units yet, will update as I hear.

But, thank you to all my amazing guests for all your prayers & love. I think we will be fine.

Update: 9:58 10/9

Storm has passed
Most wind & rain seemed to be from the north as in front door verse beach side. Water (Storm surge) did not come over the dune, from what I gather. No power currently but still have water. Will know more at daylight but seems to have dodged the worst. Continued prayers for all involved.

UPDATE: 6:30 pm 10/9

Thank you for all positive thoughts & prayers! They are predicting a direct hit to Okaloosa Island. I will keep everyone updated as the storms nears. I have a friend there onsite that’s an owner who stayed & is giving me regular updates. At this time still have water & power. Water has not got up to our boardwalk at this point.
