🌊 Waterscape Beach Safety Reminder 🌊
We love fun beach days — but safety always comes first 💙
🚩 Single Red Flag – High hazard. Knee-deep only and swim near a lifeguard.
🚩🚩 Double Red Flags – Water is closed. Fines up to $500 for entering.
We know red flags can be disappointing when you’re ready for ocean time, but they’re there for a reason. Rip currents are the leading cause of beach-related emergencies. These strong channels of water can pull even experienced swimmers away from shore quickly.
If you’re ever caught in a rip current:
• Stay calm
• Swim parallel to shore (not against the current)
• Once free, angle back toward the beach
• If needed, float or tread water and signal for help
When in doubt — ask a lifeguard.
A safe beach day is always a good beach day ☀️🌴
