Simba is happy to be home and back in the "Green Room". Dr. Zorn (the best vet Simba has ever had) is so caring and spends all the time we need to answer every question, and explain things we didn't think of asking! Simba lost 3 lbs since Sept!!! This was a concern, as was his need to drink excess amounts of water. He was there for 5 hrs, put under, complete blood work done, teeth cleaned, given a long acting antibiotic. The report was: no blood in urine, no crystals in urine, no white blood cells! Dr. feared diabetes, but thank God, negative! His phosphorus, potassium, glucose and liver enzymes all normal! Thyroid good! However, Simba has lost 30 % of his kidney functionality! He is on a special diet....needless to say he doesn't like it!!!!

Simba (our Midtown Bed & Breakfast mascot) went to see Dr. Zorn at 9am this morning. Since September he has lost almost 3 lbs!!! They are putting him under so they can do complete bloodwork and find out why he is defacating and urinating outside of the box!! He is 14 1/2 years old! Pray all turns out well! ❤

Thank you, Chris Miller, for buying me something at the auction in Atlanta, that is so near and dear to my heart, an Eastern Airlines coffee pot!! And, thank you Kathy Froemming, for driving it up to MI for me!! After almost 20 years of flying, I couldn't even begin to calculate how many cups of coffee we all poured!
