KYRBA traveled south of the border into Tennessee yesterday to visit our friends at North Central Telephone Cooperative. President and CEO Johnny McClanahan, along with Clint Carter, provided an extensive behind-the-scenes look at their operations.

Although our visit was to their Tennessee headquarters in Lafayette, NCTC serves a significant number of customers in Kentucky as well.

Thank you to Johnny, Clint, and your entire team for the kind hospitality. We look forward to our next visit!

KYRBA continued its summer tour across the Bluegrass with a visit to SCRTC. GM Jeff Eaton and his knowledgeable team provided us with an informative behind-the-scenes look at the company and its impact throughout south-central Kentucky.

We would like to thank Jeff and his crew for taking time out of their busy schedules to host us and share their expertise. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Barren County and appreciate the hospitality shown by everyone at SCRTC.

KYRBA kicked off its summer tour of visiting our members across the Commonwealth. Our first stop included a trip to McKee where Keith Gabbard gave us an inside look into the operations at PRTC - Peoples Rural Telephone Cooperative.

Keith was an excellent guide into the company’s history as well as the perfect ambassador for Jackson County.

Come to Jackson County for the fast internet, stay for the scenery.

Kentucky Chamber Public Affairs Director John Hughes joined a discussion at the Kentucky Rural Broadband Association meeting last week on the outcomes of Kentucky’s 2026 primary election and what to watch ahead of the general election. The discussion highlighted key races, voter trends, and the potential impact of the election cycle on Kentucky communities and employers.
