And so the sun has set on our second northbound season

Today, the Grove sits quiet and empty, no guests anticipated until September; yet the space also echoes with a vibrance from so many lives lived together, from so many months shared in community.

We are truly grateful for all who entrusted us with their journeys this year.

While we rest over the next few weeks, we’re excited to continue celebrating the Nobo Class of 2026 as they reach Katahdin, and we look forward to sharing memories from our time with them.

The Crucible Hike is raising money for the men and women who come to Veterans Leadership Program (VLP) during their critical time of need. Each year, VLP serves more than 8,400 local Veterans through 16 comprehensive housing, career development, supportive services, and wellness programming to assist Veterans to reach their fullest potential in their civilian lives.

They stop in town!

By the droves,
they swarm the bus
to stop at the Grove,
and visit us!

They click and clack,
with shuffles and scoots,
up the drive,
to dry their boots.

They tumble in,
and sprawl all out,
to wash their feet,
and stuff their snout.

They tidy up,
and full their sacks,
happy and warm,
they hit their racks.

They wake quite early,
excited for more,
to hike this Trail,
that we all adore
