“Basecamp is absolutely beautiful and a pleasure to stay in. As locals and fellow cyclists who needed a place to land before moving into our new home, we found an absolute gem in Basecamp. The house was spatious, well maintained, and Alex and Chris clearly thought through what guests would need or want to ensure a relaxing stay…We have stayed at quite a few airbnbs over the last ten years and this was by far the best we have found.” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Chris has been hard at work creating a fun way for cyclists to find and track local rides, roads, trails, and climbs in our beautiful county. The app is still in its early stages, but check it out and let us know what you think (link in bio) 🙌

We hope to continue adding features and put out fun, local, mini challenges (as well as incorporate running, hiking, and other activities) in and around Frederick County. Happy Riding!

BASECAMP FREDERICK RIDE APP: Your Frederick Adventure Starts Here! 🚴‍♂️🚵🚴‍♀️

As you may know, we like to create fun, community challenge apps based on Strava data. For a while now, we’ve been wanting to do something adventure-focused that’s right out our back door and takes advantage of all the variety Frederick County cycling has to offer so we designed the Basecamp Frederick Ride App!

Focused 100% on Frederick riding, we plan to create some fun challenges that explore all parts of our wonderful county using this app. Strava has the KOM/QOM stuff covered so this is a little less competitive.

FREDERICK EXPLORER: Frederick County has over 1,000 miles of bike friendly roads and hundreds of miles of trail. See where you have ridden and discover the lesser known gems.

BASECAMP CLIMBS: Check out the iconic climbs of Frederick County. Get the details on each climb, track your personal stats, and see which ones are the most popular.

CHALLENGES: Hyper local digital challenges for a community that actually knows one another. Check out some fun Frederick adventure challenges with a light dose of friendly competition.

The app is in the early stages right now so we welcome your feedback. You’ll have to Sign-In or Creat an Account if you want to track your rides (anyone who’s done a Dirty Kitten virtual event in the past should already have a log in).

Loved Alex’s place. The hosts were Awesome. Very flexible with checking in. The house is full of history. We love the location! The front room and its large sliding glass door made you feel like you were sitting in the trees. If you love nature, you will love this cabin We will be back again 💚

“Had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It was clean and comfortable and well stocked. The neighborhood is calm and peaceful. The weather wasn’t great when I was there due to wildfire smoke and thunderstorms, but still had a relaxing weekend. Hope to come back when l’ll be able to experience more of the area!” 💚

“Location is very private with lots areas to explore.
Endless amount of trails to hike bike etc. Alex even stopped in to make sure we had everything we needed. Frederick has everything you need also as to food entertainment etc just a short distance away. We stayed for a event in Frederick so didn’t have enough time to explore the area as much as would of liked. Highly recommend.” 💚
