We hope everyone has had a wonderful Father's Day. We are thinking of our dads today. If you have stayed with us, you may have met Mary Susan's dad, as he lived at Odonata and loved talking with our guests and fixing things. He passed away in April and we miss him dearly.

JD's dad never got to see Odonata, but we know he would love it! We were thinking of Jerry when we designed Lone Star. It's a little mid century, a little quirky, and definitely original!

Our dads embodied the spirit of Odonta Escape - neither ever met a stranger and everyone was always welcome.

Technically we are still a few weeks from Spring, but these last few weeks with 13 degree nights have been a bit much. So we are done with Winter and are declaring that Spring has started! Aren’t these pictures amazing? A guest took them a few years ago while visiting on spring break. We are just 4.5 miles from town, but far enough away to have the perfect dark skies for stargazing! It was great to see these guests back at Odonata Escape over the weekend! The dinosaur costume was left in their trunk, but the camaraderie was brought to the firepit. So good to see these fun friends!

Looks like it’s going to be a busy fall in Fredericksburg, TX. From Oktoberfest (Oct. 4-6), the Food and Wine Festival (Oct. 24-26), Christmas Wine Affair at participating wineries (Nov. 22-Dec. 22), not to mention lots of new restaurants and wineries to try. We are stocking up on s’mores fixins’, hope to see y’all around the firepit.
