Today, May 8, we celebrate 180 years of history, heritage and community since our founding in 1846. From our rich German roots to the vibrant Hill Country town we are today, Fredericksburg continues to be a special place to live, work and visit.

“Fiesta” is the theme of the 29th annual Scholarship Fest, set for Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Gillespie County Fair Grounds. Guests are encouraged to wear festive attire. Gates open at 4 p.m. with appetizers, games, silent auction and prize drawings. A brisket meal will follow at 6 p.m. Gillespie County Fair and Festivals Association has awarded more than $750,000 in scholarships to area youth. Old Country Charm 2 1/2 blocks from Main St Shopping/Private Get-a-Way w/Hot Tub

This is the cutest little charming cottage within walking distance to Main. The bed was comfy. Loved taking baths in the old clawfoot tub! The deer in the yard are the cherry on top along with the hot tub. While in the hot tub, a deer came within 4-5 ft from us. We bought them a couple bags of deer corn.
