My Mommy…Good night

So hard it is to say goodbye to my own heart,
Gently it beats to the rhythmic  
Sounds of your breathing  

As I hold your tiny hand in mine, so cool to the touch,  
a thousand memories flow in,  

All memories of love, of laughter and dreams.  
Soon the soothing melody of your breath I’ll no longer hear.

But the sounds of your voice will never fade away. The movie of your life i’ll stop and rewind, then fast forward through time, again and again.

It is Love that you taught me, Love, your greatest of gifts,  
Now, it is Love that you leave me, and to that Love you now return.
