Good morning Dear Guests, Friends, Hikers and outdoor enthusiasts, this is yet another set back to our already delayed season. Please be patient with staff as we navigate through this set back. Hope to see you all on another trail in the near future 🏜️

News release-North Rim to reopen June 2 with limited services available

The North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park will open as scheduled, on June 2, with limited visitor services and water conservation measures due to a break in the North Rim water pipeline. A landslide from winter storms destroyed more than 300 feet of the North Rim water pipeline.

The Grand Canyon Lodge North Rim, an Aramark property, will operate day-use services with limited food and beverage service beginning June 2. No overnight accommodations will be available until at least July 23, 2023.

The North Rim Campground, managed by the National Park Service, will operate as scheduled beginning June 9 with potable drinking water and toilets available. The public laundry and shower facilities will not be open at least through July 23, 2023. The North Rim General Store, gift shop, and gas station will be open. Grand Canyon Trail Rides-North Rim will offer rim rides only beginning on June 2. The North Rim Visitor Center and Grand Canyon Conservancy bookstore open as scheduled, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, with a variety of ranger programs offered. The backcountry information center will be open 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. daily.

Visitors exploring the North Rim this summer season should be self-sufficient and visitors should bring adequate food and water for the day as services are limited and may be subject to change.

As a result of substantial winter rockfall and landslides, trail repair work on the North Kaibab Trail continues. There is a trail closure in effect on the North Kaibab Trail until at least through June 15, 2023. The closure area is from north of Cottonwood Campground to the North Kaibab Trailhead. No hikers will be allowed to pass through this area under any circumstances. Following June 15, the North Kaibab Trail will reopen with intermittent trail closures in effect to clear remaining rockfall areas.

A few delicious examples of our wonderful breakfast bowls. They're fully customizable with proteins, meats, veggies and sauce (and cheese of course 🧀).

It's a fully custom, Paleo-friendly, healthy menu that's sure to fill you up!

Hello Everyone! In this trying time, we at the Kaibab Lodge wanted to assure you that Yes, we are still open. In addition, we will be taking every possible precaution to limit contact and ensure your health! The following list is among the precautions we'll take to help ensure the safety of the people you love:

-Kaibab Lodge will be exclusively using Alsco to clean and sanitize our linens and towels.

-Our rooms and cabins will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before each guest arrives.

-To limit exposure during your stay we will not be offering daily housekeeping services. Of course if you need clean towels or trash service just ask at the front desk, or a passing housekeeper, we will do everything in our power to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

-Inside the lodge we will have essential oil diffusers running, which may help clean viruses from the air. (Not sure if it will help, but is sure won’t hurt).

-Fresh air and sunshine are good for just about everything and everyone. According to environmental air quality studies, the Grand Canyon North Rim area is some of the cleanest air in the entire country.

During these difficult times, from our family to yours, we wish you health, safety and well-being.

With Warm Regards,

The Wi******er Family
