Why this tiny house which I fondly named Pikes Peak has my heart❤️❤️❤️❤️

Pikes Peak will always be special to me. It was the very first tiny house I built here nine years ago, inspired by the beautiful wedge-cabin architecture I had seen in the Pacific Northwest.

It's tucked away by itself near the geode trail on my property, surrounded by woods, and at night the canopy around you creates some of the most incredible starry-night views.

But my favorite part is something most guests would never know.

The walnut slabs you'll see on the focal wall and shelving came from my Great-Grandpa Gilbert's woodshop and I love knowing that a little piece of my family's history lives inside this tiny house. ❤️

And here's another fun fact: I never intended to rent Pikes Peak. During the first solar eclipse, I knew I wouldn't be able to enjoy the property because I had to work. On a whim, I made Pikes Peak available, and a wonderful couple from France traveled all the way to Missouri to stay here and experience the eclipse.

Their experience & how much this little place meant to them, meant something so special to me.

It reminded me how much I love sharing the spaces I've created with other people.

So Pikes Peak became a shareable getaway space...and here we are nine years later. 🥰

If you're deciding between my 4 tiny houses, here's my little insider tip:

Choose Pikes Peak if you want seclusion, woods, trails and incredible stargazing.

Choose Frisco if you want to be close to the pool and catch some of the best sunset views on the property.

I genuinely love them both... but Pikes Peak will always have my heart. ❤️
