Your friendly reminder- The Frenchboro Midsummer Community Weekend is THIS Friday, July 31st & Saturday, August 1st!

We’ll be kicking off the weekend with the High Tide Barn Dance at 7pm- with some beginner line dance instruction and then open dance floor- with the newly announced Mocktail Bar!!

On Saturday, we begin the afternoon at the church at 4:00pm with a modified race followed by a community potluck, and then if you still have energy left, we culminate the evening at the Captains House!

*Reminder to bring your walking/running shoes if participating in the race, and your favorite potluck dish to share at the community dinner.

We are looking forward to a wonderful weekend!

You're Invited: Frenchboro's First "High Tide Barn Dance"!

Greetings everyone!

Eric Best and Chellana Siriani have decided to host Frenchboro's very first High Tide Barn Dance, and you are all officially invited! Eric is generously opening up his beautifully crafted barn for the occasion, and Chellana will be your dance leader for the evening.

When: Friday, July 31st at 7:00 PM
Where: Eric Best’s High Tide Barn
What: Kickoff line dancing, followed by an open floor for everyone to kick up their heels!

We are hosting this the night before the town gathering, making it the perfect way to start an amazing weekend. Everyone is welcome! We hope you, your family, and any guests visiting the island for the weekend will come on through for some community fun.

Before, and after working on the clapboards in the back of the house near the patio. I knew this 200 year-old house was not going to be or have any true 90° angles anywhere and that was the case. This was more like artwork and estimation, than construction and accurate measurements.

So the 2026 season is among us and it’s time to finish up the work on the old girl! Over the coming 2-3 months the remaining new clapboards will go on, cleaning and oiling of the front deck, painting, and some plantings will be completed. Looking forward to a great season!
