is approaching and the new board has been working hard to make necessary changes to better serve our community. There is still a lot of work to be done but support of the new board and their visions of what future festivals can become is important.
Years ago, we used to organize a large group of volunteers to assist with ushering of films at multiple venues for an entire day of the festival. We want to help bring community, partnership, and support back to the Film Festival. In our current political climate, it is essential that our community finds unity. So much of the world has been torn apart in the "us vs them" rhetoric.
We're challenging you all, to come show support to the Reel Pride Film Festival and the steps the board is taking to rebuild community by purchasing a pass or Film ticket.
It will take time for the festival to return to its glory days, but patron support is how we help it get there.
We also challenge the Reel Pride Board to honor the intent of the film festival and its sponsors by encouraging and providing unity, accountability, trust, support, and involvement within our own LGBTQ+ Community.
