Today in our front yard the NARCOA ( North American Railcar Organization) arrived from Ridgley, WV.
They putted their vintage rail cars up the mountain, took a spin on the turntable to turn around and headed back down. Members come from all over the country to ride the rails.

Now booking for the summer season! Rooms available that sleep 2, 3, or 6! Tent camping at the top of the hill with shower house and restrooms. Food, beer, 6 pack shop, rental bicycles for the GAP, shuttles for the trail and the North Branch for Kayaking and River tubing! Across from Frostburg Depot, watch the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad train roll in and the Tracks and Yaks railbikes roll out from the 2nd story deck.

A rare sight at The Tunnel Hotel, the vast majority of our guests arrive by bicycle, however this is homecoming weekend at FSU and these friends secured thier reservations last January to stay here for the weekends activities.
The parking lot is full!

The tourism hub of Frostburg is full today. Sold out Tracks and Yaks Railbike Tours, a sold out Western Maryland Scenic Railroad Frostburg Flyer and 100 + people with Mountain Maryland Trails annual 3M race with the finish line at our front door!

Another treasure in our own back yard, Dans Mountain State Park.
This park is a 10 mile drive from The Tunnel Hotel and Trail Inn Cafe and includes hiking trails, a brand new mountain bike trail, and a huge swimming pool that includes a water slide. Park admission is free and pool admission is only $4.
