Swans Falls Campground and Canoe Access Campground and public river access for the Upper S**o River in Fryeburg, Maine. Call for reservation

Swan's Falls Campground and Canoe access is managed under an agreement with the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation, and Forestry by the S**o River Recreational Council, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting responsible outdoor recreational practices on the Upper S**o River. The campground is comprised of 18 tent sites which includes two lean-tos and one tent platform. Each sit

e contains a fire pit and a picnic table, and several outhouses and water spigots are located throughout the grounds. The campground does not offer showers, electrical hookups, or other amenities. There are no riverside or beach sites; all sites are located in the woods within walking distance of the river. The facilities are opened in late spring (weather permitting), and remain open through the Fryeburg Fair. The S**o River canoe access welcomes boaters and other visitors until late October. Reservations are recommended, especially for mid-summer weekends.
