Our very own Loree DeArmond is headed to the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games as Team Tennessee’s Head Coach for Bocce!! 🥳💙🎉

We are SO proud to celebrate the incredible Special Olympics Tennessee journey of someone we know and love so well. Around camp, she keeps everyone fed and cared for as our amazing kitchen manager — and now she’ll be helping lead athletes on one of the biggest stages in the country! 🇺🇸💪

Loree, your dedication, heart, and passion shine in everything you do. Team Tennessee is lucky to have you, and we’ll be cheering you on all the way to 2026 Special Olympics USA Games! ❤️🤍💙

🌞✨ 20 DAYS UNTIL CAMP ✨🌞

We’re officially in the final countdown and the excitement is REAL! 🎉
In just 20 days, the pool will be full, the fishing poles will be out, and the slip ‘n slide will be in full action 💦🐟

Our counselors are getting ready, the schedules are coming together, and we are counting down every single day until we’re back where we belong 💛

Whether it’s your first summer or your favorite tradition, we cannot WAIT to see all of our campers back for the best week of the year!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms in our Camp Discovery family 💐

Today we celebrate the mothers, grandmothers, bonus moms, guardians, and caregivers who pour so much love, patience, advocacy, and support into the lives of our campers and staff every single day. Thank you for the rides to camp, the packed bags, the late-night preparations, the encouragement, the trust, and the countless ways you help make Camp Discovery possible.

We also want to give a huge shoutout to the amazing moms on our staff team who spend their summers loving and caring for campers while balancing the important role of motherhood. Your compassion, strength, and dedication do not go unnoticed.

Camp Discovery is better because of the love you give so freely. We are so grateful for each of you today and every day. 💛

We’re excited to welcome two great additions to Camp Discovery this summer! 🎉

First, meet Dean! This will be his first year with us, and he’ll be joining the team as a counselor. Dean is heading into his senior year of high school, and we’re so excited to watch him grow, learn, and make an impact on our campers this summer.

We’re also thrilled to welcome back David! A longtime Camp Discovery alum, David has worn many hats over the years, and this summer he’ll be supporting our team in the kitchen. We’re so lucky to have him back and can’t wait for all he’ll bring to camp this season.

Be sure to give them both a warm Camp Discovery welcome—we can’t wait to have them on our team! 💙

We’re excited to share that Taven will be stepping into the Cabin 3 (Boys Cabin) Supervisor role this summer! 👏

With a few behind-the-scenes shifts, we’re grateful for how everything came together and are confident Taven is exactly who is meant to step into this position this year.

This will be Taven’s third summer at Camp Discovery, and we’ve seen his heart for our campers, his growth as a leader, and the way he supports those around him. We know he’s going to do an incredible job in this role and can’t wait to see the impact he makes.

🌟 Cabin One is Complete! 🌟

We’re so excited to introduce our final two additions to Cabin One — Sara Grace and Abrihannah! 🎉

These two are first-time counselors with Camp Discovery, and we already know they’re going to be incredible additions to our team.

💛 Abrihannah is excited for her very first camp experience! She helps care for her younger brother with special needs and has such a big, compassionate heart. Fun fact — she’s basically running a mini farm with 9 birds (chickens, guinea fowl, and turkeys), plus two cats and two dogs!

💙 Sara Grace is a junior at Warren County High School and is super involved in her school’s Special Olympics program. After high school, she plans to attend college to become a speech-language pathologist — how amazing is that?!

We can’t wait to see the impact these two make at camp this summer. Cabin One is ready!! 🏕️✨
