A stay at the Ark looks a little something like this.

Slow mornings, afternoons by the water, a little friendly competition, and plenty of time to simply enjoy being together. However you spend your days here, The Ark was made for moments worth remembering.

Come stay awhile.

Well… we gave it a shot! 😂

The Ark didn’t get approved as an event venue last night, but no worries — it really doesn’t change what we do or what we love about the Ark.

If anything, the last few months have introduced a whole lot more people to this crazy, special place we’ve created. Turns out all publicity really is good publicity! 😎

Huge THANK YOU to everyone who showed up, sent emails, spoke up, and supported us. We felt the love!

Now… back to doing what we do. Hosting groups and gatherings in a place of hope and healing. ❤️

The Ark sails on! 🚢

At the Ark, we are grateful to be a gathering place for nonprofits and faith communities doing meaningful work in the world. We know that for many of the groups who walk through our doors, this place becomes something far more than a home, and we do not take that responsibility lightly. Thank you to Daniel and Refuge Widowers for your support.

Friends & Neighbors — We Could Use Your Support Tomorrow!

Tomorrow, Thursday, August 27 at 6:00 PM, we will be going before the Hall County Board of Commissioners regarding the Ark on Lake Lanier.

We are asking for approval to operate as an Event Facility, along with approval to use our property directly across the street for occasional overflow parking when needed.

We aren’t wanting to do large and loud events. We are just trying to find the best way to serve those we are called to serve.

Jeff will be speaking on behalf of the Ark and telling our story.

For years, The Ark has been a special place for families, churches, nonprofits, ministries, and other groups to come together—to reconnect, retreat, heal, celebrate, and spend meaningful time with the people who matter to them. We’re incredibly proud of what The Ark has become and the people it has served.

Tomorrow is an important night for us, and we would LOVE to have a room full of friendly, supportive faces there.

You don’t have to speak. You don’t have to prepare anything. Just showing up in support of The Ark would mean a great deal to us and will help the commissioners see that there are many people in our community who believe in what we are doing. (In fact, since Jeff is sharing the story, we don’t expect there to be any time for positive comments as we only have 20 minutes total to tell the story and need to leave some time for rebuttal after any negative comments).

📅 Thursday, August 27
⏰ 6:00 PM

If you’ve stayed at The Ark, attended something there, live nearby, know what we do, or simply believe The Ark is a positive asset to Hall County, we would be grateful for your support.

And please share this post with others who know and support The Ark.

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged us, sent emails, and stood beside us through this process.

What if your getaway had no agenda?

Slow mornings with coffee by the lake. Afternoons spent soaking up the sun, getting a little competitive on the pickleball court, or simply enjoying the view. Evenings gathered around the table with your favorite people, with nowhere else you need to be.

At the Ark, there’s room to slow down, reconnect, and spend your time exactly how you want to. No rushing. No packed schedule. Just good company, beautiful views, and time well spent.

Your stay. Your way.

When is the last time you actually unplugged? Ark on Lake Lanier is a stunning retreat home in North Georgia, one hour from Atlanta, where the lake is your backyard and the only thing on the agenda is rest. Private lake access, a screened porch with a view, a pickleball court, a fire pit, a pool, and enough space for your whole group to spread out and breathe. This is what a real getaway looks like.

Some people see a lake house.

We see a place where families reconnect, friends gather, memories are made, and weekends turn into traditions.

The Ark on Lake Lanier is more than a destination. It’s a place to slow down, spend time together, and leave feeling refreshed.

There’s meaning behind the name. 🤎

The Ark was created to be more than a place to stay. It was created to be a place of refuge. A place where people can gather, slow down, reconnect, and create meaningful memories together.

Whether you’re celebrating something special or simply looking for a quiet escape, we hope you leave feeling rested, renewed, and connected.

That’s the heart behind the Ark.
