Launch your boat, kayak, canoe, or tube from Camp Tomahawk for just $10 per car/truck!

Here's how it works:
✅ Check in at the office first to pay, and have everyone in your party sign a liability waiver.
✅ Unload your floating gear at the river.
✅ Park your vehicle on the hilltop.
✅ Enjoy a relaxing float down the James River to Ralph Cox Memorial Access.

⚠️ Please note: We do not provide shuttle service, so you'll need to arrange your own ride back.

We've been getting lots of questions lately, so here's a quick guide to help you plan your visit!

🗓️ When are you open?
Camp Tomahawk is open Friday through Sunday.

🏕️ Camping
Camping is available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. Campers are welcome to stay through Sunday night and must check out by 11:00 AM on Monday.

☀️ Day Passes
Available Friday through Sunday | 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Your day pass includes:
🏊 Swimming
🎣 Fishing
🌊 River access
🚗 Parking for your vehicle so you can launch your own boat, kayak, canoe, or tube
🪑 Relaxing by the river with family and friends
Bringing your own tubes? Absolutely! You're welcome to bring your own tubes and use our put-in and take-out ramps. Please note that no shuttle service is included with day passes.

💲 Day Pass Pricing
$10 per person
Two children ages 12 and under are FREE with each paying adult.

❓ Need camping or a float trip during the week?
Our sister company, James River Outfitters, offers weekday camping, after-hours camping, and floating trips throughout the week.

⚠️ Please Note: Camp Tomahawk no longer offers the 2-mile float trip. All floating trips are now available through James River Outfitters.
