After 6 years as proprietors of Lamberson Guest House, we have made the decision to retire to spend more time with our family. We get very emotional as we write this because we thoroughly enjoyed owning the bed and breakfast and all the wonderful people we have met over the years. It was a very difficult decision because we love this beautiful home, the community of Galena, the business owners and our very special guests. We started in 2020, during the Covid crisis, not knowing what to expect each day but we soon found that our purpose was providing a safe place for guests to stay for relaxation, enjoyment and a respite to what was happening in the world. The years that followed brought many amazing people to stay and we were able to develop lifelong relationships.
We had a lovely couple stay with us this year that shared their passion of owning a bed and breakfast. Bart and Valerie Gregersen, from the West Chicago area, purchased Lamberson Guest House and in August have become the new owners. They quickly realized that Galena was a very special place and are looking forward to being part of this great community. We feel they are the PERFECT couple to continue the legacy of the Lamberson home and we know guests will love their hospitality, culinary skills and their compassion for people.
Now we look forward to becoming guests at Lamberson, sitting on the patio enjoying charcuterie trays and beverages and enjoying the delicious food and conversation at the morning breakfast table.
