Congratulations Notah Begay III, Native American of the Navajo Tribe, on receiving The Payne Stewart Award. Quite possibly the most prestigious professional golf award there is. It recognizes a person for his/her character, sportsmanship, and charitable dedication. He’s an impressive story.

Many inches of rain didn’t stop the die hards on Saturday. We couldn’t open The General and East at all on 9/19, but we finally got the extremely soggy North and South open at 10:30. Approximately 220 golfers managed to get in 18-holes at last. Those who wanted to brave the conditions got to golf their ball!
