π Sharing my review of our recent sailing on Royal Caribbean Utopia of the Seas! βοΈπ
π From the jaw-dropping show at the Aquatheater (advance reservations required), the parties at the pool deck, exploring all of the activities, bars & restaurants β This cruise ship was AMAZING!
π³οΈ Boarding was an absolute breeze. Traveling with a group of 18 people, 10 of those being children I was a nervous wreck but it was smooth sailing and super fast. We stayed the night before at The Raddison across from the cruise terminal, we took the hotel shuttle over the next morning. We sat down on that shuttle at 9:33a and walked onto the ship at 10:15a!!
ποΈ We had an Ocean View Stateroom. The stateroom including the bathroom were spacious, clean, closets / drawers for clothing and plenty outlets for chargers etc.. Plus our room attendant was great. He was in and out so fast when cleaning, very attentive and the animal towels were a hit with the kids.
βοΈ While we did not get the chance to do all of the activities onboard(yes there is that many) we saw a ton of things to enjoy like the rock climbing wall, flowrider wave machine, ice skating, mini golf, shopping, casino & a wide selection of shows / activities to attend.
We spent the majority of our time with the kids at the splash pad, waterslides and partying on the pool deck. What a fun time that was and of course eating around the clock. There is truly something for everyone on Utopia.
π½οΈ I personally was not impressed with the main dining room food but other family members with us loved it. The quick service meals at Windjammer(Buffets) & El Loca Fresh(Mexican) were more memorable to me.
π§πΌ Adventure Ocean(daycare) β while our youngest 2 would not stay, the older kids loved this option. They were able to go in and play the various games & activities offered. The age groups range from 6m-36m β’ 3y-5y β’ 6y-12y β’ 13y - 17y. They did let my 3 year old bump down to the infant room with her younger brother, even though neither of them would stay it was an option offered with them only being 13 months apart. The Adventure Ocean was a safe and inviting environment for parents to be able to relax for a couple hours while the kids are enjoying themselves as well. They offer phones for your child to be able to call / message you on the app and also for the crew members to do the same if you are needed.
π§πΈ In Nassau, we explored for a very short time and not impressed. Next time, we will stay on the cruise ship the whole time and will use it as a sea day. There was excursion options available at Nassau but none that seemed appealing to our family.
ποΈ Perfect Day at CocoCay was 10/10! It did not disappoint. We wished we had multiple days at this port. Plenty of things to do, kids beach, adult beach, pools, splash pads, multiple land sports (volleyball, basketball court, beach bowling, etc.) clean bathrooms, and tons of food, bars & of course ice cream! While laying on the beach enjoying the sunshine, servers would be around frequently to bring drinks.
π Overall, I would sail on Utopia of the Seas again and felt like 3-nights was perfect for families traveling with young kids.
πΈ while I have 40+ pictures to share, I forgot to take pictures of so many things, wrangling kids & enjoying vacation was my top priority!
