Looking for part-time help for a deli/gift shop on the Strand. Must be TABC and food handler certified. Pay starts at $8 an hour with re-evaluation after 60 days. Approximately 20 hours a week.

Higher pay available for food safety manager certification (strongly preferred).

Your Monrovia House Hosts

In 2016, my husband John and I decided life was too short not to spend it doing what you enjoy in a place you are proud to call home. So we embarked on the journey to find a historic home on Galveston island that needed some love and that we could turn into our forever home.

We have named our home Monrovia House for the Monrovia yesterday, today, tomorrow flowers throughout the property that have special meaning to us. We are proud to be now be able to share our vision and dream with visitors to Galveston.

We don't travel too much - we love our home base so much we don't see the need to leave it often. We are foodies who enjoy cooking and trying new foods. We are also history buffs, and thoroughly enjoyed researching the history of Galveston and of our home.
