Today is the universal birthday for rescue and shelter dogs whose actual birthdays are unknown.

Here's to every rescue dog who's found their person, every shelter dog still waiting for their forever home, and every rescue and foster who never stops working to give these dogs a second chance.

🐾 Happy National Rescue Dog Day from Lucky’s Lookout 💚

Huge thanks to Harper & Hermes, our honorary Paw-perty Managers. 🐶

Harper (left) is a proud Galveston Island Humane Society rescue and currently oversees Yard Inspections, Deck Lounger Testing, and Professional Sunbathing Duties ☀️

Hermes was found dumped near a Houston bayou and now handles Couch Quality Control, Grill Monitoring, and Aggressive Seagull Surveillance.

Lucky’s Lookout exists because of dogs like these. Rescue dogs deserve beach trips, fenced yards, sunny decks, and families who adore them. 🐾💚
