It’s a Galveston day! I’ll be heading to a few other places, but first stop is White Magnolia Galveston to get the house ready for our upcoming guests. 🌸

I’m definitely not a florist, but I do love pretending to be one! Fresh flowers are one of my favorite little touches to put out for each guest arrival. It’s a bit of a luxury I love offering our guests—even though I don’t always remember to buy flowers for myself at home!

I hope our guests feel as welcome and special as we want them to feel. 💐

✨ **AND THAT'S A WRAP! Our 2026 upgrades are complete!** ✨

What a year of transformations at **White Magnolia Galveston!** 🤍🌸

We have poured so much love into our historic 1921 home, and we think it's finally just about perfect! Here's everything we added in 2026:

🛁 **New Hot Tub & Cabana** – A relaxing retreat with a beautiful surround, curtains, and lighting.

🛏️ **Complete Bedroom Makeover** – A new king bed, luxury bedding, dramatic drapes, chandelier, bench, rug, and a nearly 7-foot mirror!

🥂 **New Dining Room Bar Area** – A beautiful new space for entertaining and gathering.

🔥 **New Living Room Fireplace** – Adding warmth, charm, and a cozy atmosphere.

🌿 **Expanded Courtyard** – More seating and space to relax under the lights.

🎨 **Magnolia Fence Mural** – A stunning original creation by local artist Deedcaro that brings even more personality to our outdoor space!

We have loved every minute of transforming White Magnolia Galveston into a special place for our guests to make memories. And while there's always something to improve, we think we're officially done with the big projects...for now! 😉

**So what's next?** We're setting our sights on finding another historic home in Galveston's beautiful East End to bring back to life! 🏡

In the meantime, White Magnolia Galveston is ready to welcome you! 🤍

🛏️ Short-Term Rental Tip Tuesday: All About the Bed!

At White Magnolia Galveston, we’ve learned that a comfortable bed takes more than just a good mattress. The little details can make a big difference in helping guests feel welcome and get a restful night’s sleep.

Some of our tips come from hosting guests for over a year, and some are inspired by the ways hotels make their beds feel inviting. We’re sharing what we’ve learned and hope you pick up a thing or two!

Even if you don’t have a short-term rental, these ideas might help make the beds at home more comfortable, too. 💤

🐚🕯️ **FROM GALVESTON BEACH SHELLS TO BEAUTIFUL CANDLE HOLDERS!** 🌊❤️

You know how much I LOVE repurposing things, and this might be one of my new favorite projects!

I collected some beautiful shells from Galveston Beach and decided to see if I could turn them into something special.

Then I found some inexpensive candles at the dollar store, and an idea was born! 💡

I repurposed the candles and transformed those simple seashells into adorable little candle holders! 🐚🕯️

And let me tell you... **THIS PROCESS IS ADDICTIVE!** 😂

Once I started making them, I didn't want to stop!

I love taking something from nature and turning it into a unique piece of coastal decor. And the fact that these shells came straight from Galveston makes them even more special!

🏡 **NOW I'M WONDERING...**

Should I bring some of these to **White Magnolia Galveston**, our historic 1921 vacation rental in Galveston's East End?

I love adding handmade touches that reflect the beauty of the island, and these might be perfect!

Or maybe I should keep them all for myself! 😂

❤️ **WHAT DO YOU THINK?**

🐚 Would you display these in your home?

🏡 Should I add them to White Magnolia Galveston?

And what else should I try making with seashells?

🌿💚 **MY SECRET TO KEEPING FRESH PLANTS AT WHITE MAGNOLIA GALVESTON WITH ALMOST NO UPKEEP!** 🏡💧

I absolutely LOVE decorating with real plants, especially at **White Magnolia Galveston**, our historic vacation rental. But here's the problem... I can't be there every day to water them! 😂

That's why I've fallen in love with **HYDROPONICS!**

As long as my plants have water, I can pretty much leave them alone! No daily watering, no messy soil, and very little maintenance! 🙌

And here's my FAVORITE part... **ONE PLANT CAN TURN INTO SO MANY MORE!** 🌱

I've shared bits and pieces of this process before, but I wanted to put the ENTIRE system together in one quick video!

🌿 Make your own simple water-growing system

✂️ Take cuttings from existing plants

💧 Watch them grow new roots in water

🪴 Transfer the rooted plants into soil

🔄 Take more cuttings and START ALL OVER AGAIN!

I especially love using coleus because of its beautiful, colorful leaves. It makes such pretty arrangements throughout White Magnolia Galveston!

Not only does this save money, but it's also a wonderful way to keep our vacation home looking fresh and welcoming for guests without a lot of extra work. ❤️

And you know how much I love finding creative, inexpensive ways to decorate!

💚 **NOW I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!**

Have you ever tried growing plants in water? What other varieties should I try at White Magnolia Galveston?

I'd love your suggestions!

♻️📖 **I STARTED WITH A PAPER CIRCLE... AND ENDED UP WITH A BOWL!** 😍

If you've been following my crafting adventures, you might remember that I recently showed you how to make a circle using old magazine pages.

Well, after I finished that tutorial, I kept looking at my little creation and thinking... surely I can do MORE with this! 😂

So I gave myself another design challenge!

**Could I turn that simple paper circle into something functional AND decorative?**

The answer was YES! 🙌

I transformed it into a handmade paper bowl, and this quick tutorial shows you exactly how I did it.

I absolutely love projects like this because they take something that might otherwise end up in the recycling bin and turn it into something unique.

🏡 **AND NOW I'M THINKING ABOUT WHITE MAGNOLIA GALVESTON!**

As many of you know, we own a beautifully restored 1921 vacation home in Galveston's Historic East End.

I love adding handmade touches to our property, and I'm wondering if this little bowl might make a cute decorative accent somewhere in the house!

Of course, it would be for lightweight decorative items rather than food or anything wet.

❤️ **NOW I NEED YOUR HELP WITH TWO DECISIONS!**

1️⃣ Should I make a matching LID for this bowl?

2️⃣ Should I display it at White Magnolia Galveston or keep it at my own house?

I LOVE hearing your creative suggestions, especially when they involve repurposing things we already have!

🍁🏡 I originally made this wreath as a fun design challenge, but now I'm thinking it might look beautiful at White Magnolia Galveston! I love decorating our 1921 historic home with unique, handmade touches that make guests feel welcome. ❤️

So help me decide! **Should I hang this at White Magnolia Galveston for our fall guests to enjoy, or keep it at my own house?** 🦌🎃

I'd love your vote! 👇
