Yet another misleading, and unnecessarily upsetting news piece by WMBF News.. H.3876 does not require STR owners to hire a property management company. The bill addresses tax collection and merchant-of-record designation when a professional property manager is involved. The bill text contains no mandate requiring owners to use a property manager. We simply may have to change the way we collect and remit hospitality/accommodation taxes. Many of us already know how to do this on our own.
