It was originally built as a hotel in 1973 and converted into condominiums in 1983. Garden City is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula of Murrells Inlet. You can purchase fishing passes at the Kingfisher Inn front desk or at the Pier Tackle Shop. It’s wonderful for breakfast or lunch at the Pier Cafe, fishing, drinks, dancing, the indoor arcade, and great ocean views. We appreciate everyone’s patience over the last month plus as we have worked hard to begin transforming the Kingfisher into a better than ever Kingfisher. We have a lot of excitement buzzing, from the landscaping when you pull up, the music and welcoming vibe at the entry to the lobby, to the new locks, and to the renovating that has been ongoing in the 6 units.

Our contractors have finished up work, and with that comes the cleanup around. For the most part, the refurbishment of the 6 units is complete, minus the curtains and new dining chairs which will arrive in the next couple of weeks.

Check out some of the reasons why we are on top of the world at Kingfisher.
