Planning a winter trip to Yellowstone? Take a look at https://www.nps.gov/yell/planyourvisit/skiing-and-snowshoeing.htm for descriptions of the various ski and snowshoe trails found in the park.

Many of these trails can be accessed by your car along US 191 or the park road open between Mammoth Hot Springs and Cooke City, MT, while many others require snow coach or snowmobile access (https://www.nps.gov/yell/planyourvisit/snowmobiles-snowcoaches.htm for more details), like Sheepeater Ski Trail (https://www.nps.gov/thingstodo/yell-sheepeater-ski-trail.htm)—as seen here from 2004.

The fire was burning high last night! We had a great weekend at the cabin. Now off to Chico for a relaxing soak in the Hot Springs.
