Located in the scenic Ohio Valley / Geauga Lakes region (NE Ohio) Kool Lakes is definitely a long way from my Antarctic home, but it has become my favorite vacation destination when I need to get away from the snow and ice. This peaceful Ohio campground is set in the woods and meadows around three spring-fed lakes, so I'm never far from a place to get wet and "keep kool." The pristine 1.5 acre swi

mmin' lake is the perfect place to play on the water and catch a few rays on the sandy beach. The campground's facilities, including the covered pavilion and sand volleyball courts, are close to all the water fun. Anglers will want to bring their tackle to do a little fishing on the well-stocked 17.5 acre lake. Fish from the dock, launch your boat, or rent a rowboat, canoe or paddleboat and start reelin' 'em in. Kool Lakes Beach
Away from the water, your "hatchlings" will have hours of fun exercising their bodies and imaginations at the park's three playgrounds. I enjoy just hangin' out in the Clubhouse, kickin' up my flippered feet to watch a little TV or play video games, pool, ping-pong and checkers. The little ones even have an indoor activity center to enjoy. Drop by the camp store for supplies. Every weekend of the camping season at Kool Lakes Family Campground brings fun and frolic for all with their full schedule of events.

🚨 FRIENDLY REMINDER FROM KOOL LAKES 🚨

As our campground gets busier for the summer season, we’d like to remind everyone of a few important policies that help keep Kool Lakes enjoyable for all campers.

🌙 QUIET HOURS: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM

Quiet hours do NOT mean you have to end your evening and go to bed. Enjoying a campfire, playing cards, or visiting with friends is all part of the camping experience.

However, all activities must be kept at a quiet level that does not disturb neighboring campsites. Sound carries farther than many realize at night, and everyone deserves the opportunity to enjoy their campsite and get a good night’s rest.

🏕️ The pavilion is CLOSED during quiet hours and may not be used after 10:00 PM. Please keep gatherings at your campsite and at a respectful noise level.

🐾 PET REMINDER

For the safety of all campers, dogs must be leashed or securely contained at your campsite at all times. This includes while on your site and when walking throughout the campground.

Please be respectful of other campers, children, and pets by maintaining control of your dog at all times.

🚪 GUEST ENTRY AFTER CLUBHOUSE HOURS

If you open the gate for outside guests after clubhouse hours, you are responsible for ensuring they register and pay for their guest pass the following morning.

✅ Guests must register and pay the next day.
✅ Gate cards and gate codes are tracked.
✅ Failure to register guests may result in warnings and loss of guest privileges.

⚠️ POLICY ENFORCEMENT

Written warnings will be issued for violations of campground policies, including:
• Quiet hour violations
• Pavilion use after 10:00 PM
• Unregistered guests
• Excessive noise complaints
• Dogs not leashed or properly contained

Continued violations may result in removal from the campground.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping keep Kool Lakes a safe, respectful, and enjoyable place for everyone. ❤️🏕️
