The Lake Mille Lacs Scenic Byway is a a birding hot spot!
So much so, that the National Audubon Society has declared it an “Important Bird Area”! You’ll see some pretty interesting birds migrating thru on your way around the Byway.

Located on the shore of Mille Lacs Lake, Father Hennepin State Park features a large sandy beach, fishing piers and picnic sites with scenic views. Hikers will enjoy the diversity of surroundings throughout the park as they explore hardwood forests, bogs, swamps and rocky shoreline. It’s safe to expect beautiful fall color in this park. Home to several albino deer, eagles and beaver, this park is a can’t-miss for wildlife lovers.

Welcome to new Mille Lacs Area Tourism member - Naomi's Bike & Paddle Rental! Naomi is located on Main Street in the City of Isle. She rents Beach Cruiser bicycles, kayaks and stand up paddle boards. She is hoping to have snow shoe rental available this winter as well.
