I think everyone has times where they feel like not enough progress is being made or they aren’t where they think they should be. We’re our own worst critics and that can definitely be a good way to build motivation, but it can also be a kind of mental trap if you dwell too long — and get stuck in a cycle of “what ifs”.
Sometimes all it takes is talking to someone who understands or is in a similar spot at the time, meeting a goal, a small win, or thinking back to day 1 and where you are now vs. where you started.
Looking at pictures and video definitely helped put some things into perspective, and was a good reminder that anything worthwhile takes time. So don’t be too hard on yourself, celebrate your wins, and as Lewis Robinson always says, “keep moving forward”.
