Today, East Tennessee and the world lost one of its brightest lights.

Dolly Parton was more than a legendary entertainer. She represented the heart of the Smoky Mountains — faith, kindness, generosity, humor, and an unwavering love for the place she called home.

Her music reached generations, but her compassion reached even farther. From all of us at Glenstone Lodge, we are grateful for the joy she brought to Tennessee and to millions around the world.

Our thoughts are with Dolly’s family, friends, and everyone mourning this extraordinary East Tennessee icon.

Rest peacefully, Dolly. The Smoky Mountains will never be quite the same without you. 🤍

Road closures begin at 10:00 PM and traffic will come to a complete stop by 11:00 PM.

🎆 Saturday, July 4th: Drone Show & Fireworks
Drone show starts at 9:50 PM and fireworks from the Space Needle begin at 10:00 PM. Airport Road will be closed from 9:15 PM until the fireworks end.
