A gorgeous hike for waterfall lovers!

One of the Smoky Mountains' most beautiful riverside "waterfalls hikes" takes you along the Deep Creek Waterfalls Loop in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, where you can see three different falls along one easy trail. The 2.4-mile loop follows along the creek, with several wooden bridges that cross over the rushing water and give you great views in every direction.

You’ll first come across Tom Branch Falls, which flows right into the creek and is easy to see from the trail. Not far ahead is Indian Creek Falls, where water drops about 25 feet down a wide rock wall into a calm pool below. The last stop is Juney Whank Falls, where a short side trail and footbridge let you stand above the water as it pours down beneath you.

There are a few benches set along the way where you can sit and listen to the water. In the summer, many people bring tubes and float down Deep Creek to cool off after the hike.

Starting March 14th, you can ride a dinner and drinks train through the Great Smoky Mountains aboard the “Spirts on the Rail” excursion on the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad! This special trip departs from Bryson City and is only offered around five times each year, making it one of the railroad’s most limited events. As the train rolls through the Smokies of western North Carolina, you’ll pass mountain ridges, rolling hills, open pastures, and stretches of the Tuckasegee River. Inside the vintage dining car, guests enjoy three bourbon drinks paired with a chef-prepared four-course meal. The evening begins with a charcuterie board, followed by a Caprese salad. The main course features steak and seafood with regional sides, then finishes with a chef’s choice dessert. Soft lighting, white table settings, and the gentle rhythm of the rails make this one of the most relaxing and enjoyable train rides through the Smokies you'll find. Tickets can be purchased on the GSMR site with only around 10 remaining for this weekend!

Springtime is perfect for the 3-hour drive to visit all six of the Smoky Mountains' stunning “no-hike” waterfalls! This easy road trip takes you to six beautiful waterfalls in and around the Great Smoky Mountains that you can see with little to no walking at all! Most of these falls can be seen right from a roadside pull-off or just a few steps from the parking area, making this trip great for anyone who wants amazing views without the work of a long hike. Along the way you’ll also pass through several classic mountain towns in Tennessee and North Carolina, where you can stop for local food, browse small shops, or take in scenic overlooks before heading to the next waterfall. By the end of the drive, you’ll have seen six of the Smokies’ most beautiful roadside waterfalls all in one fun half-day trip.

We have been made aware of a fraudulent website that is taking reservations and charging guests for stays at our property. While we do list on a number of different websites (VRBO, AirBnB, BDC, etc) perfect-stay dot lodgify dot com is NOT affiliated with us at all whatsoever and is fraudulent!

We are very concerned because the fraudulent website shows that there is an upcoming booking over Thanksgiving and we certainly want to make everyone aware as soon as possible, before their holiday is unexpectedly ruined!

So cool!

The longest swinging bridge over water in the U.S. is at Foxfire Mountain Adventure Park in Sevierville, Tennessee. Called “America’s Bridge to Prosperity,” this 400-foot-long bridge stretches high over Dunn’s Gorge, with a creek flowing far below through the Appalachian landscape. The bridge sways just enough to keep things interesting...or nerve-wracking...depending on your nerves. But that’s just the start. On the park’s self-guided bridge tour, you’ll also cross the Cliffhanger Swinging Bridge, suspended above a 60-foot waterfall, and finish at the Whispering Winds Covered Bridge, where visitors hang written wishes among hundreds already left behind. It’s a one-of-a-kind mountain experience.

The buildings range from cabins to churches, and are located in a community known as "Daisy Town." More buildings are also on the way.
