🐻⚠️ A FRIENDLY REMINDER FROM BEARLY-A-BEAT! 🚗🔒

We love our furry neighbors here in the Smoky Mountains, but sometimes they get a little TOO curious! 🐻

Believe it or not, bears have figured out how to open car doors, and an unlocked vehicle can quickly turn into an unexpected (and expensive) wildlife encounter! We see it all the time on our driveway security camera!!🎥

That’s why we’re adding this warning sign at Bearly-A-Beat as a reminder to all our guests.

A few simple precautions can prevent a BIG problem:

🐻 LOCK YOUR CAR DOORS! Every time, even if you’re just running inside for a minute or a second for that matter!! It happens quickly!

🚗 Never leave food, snacks, drinks, or anything with a scent inside your vehicle.

🔒 Double-check that your doors are locked before heading in for the night.

Remember, we’re visiting their home, not the other way around! 🏔️

We want our guests to enjoy seeing these incredible animals from a safe distance, not sitting in the driver’s seat of their car! 😂

Stay safe, lock up, and enjoy the magic of the Smokies!

🦋 A Smoky Mountain legend has gone home.

Today we remember a woman who never forgot these mountains—even after the entire world knew her name.

Dolly Parton could have belonged anywhere.

She chose to keep belonging here.

She celebrated the people, stories, faith, music and beauty of East Tennessee. She created jobs, gave back to her neighbors, opened doors for children and families, and helped turn the Smoky Mountains into a place people from around the world dream of visiting.

Every cabin tucked into these hills, every family making memories in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, and every small business welcoming another visitor has felt the ripple of what Dolly built here.

At Bearly-A-Beat, we’re simply grateful to call a tiny piece of the mountains she loved so much our home away from home.

Thank you, Dolly.

For the laughter.
For the generosity.
For never forgetting home.

Our camera at Bearly-A-Beat caught a momma bear and her cubs taking a leisurely stroll through the driveway. 🐻❤️

While we can never guarantee wildlife sightings, sharing the mountains with incredible animals like these is part of what makes Gatlinburg so special. Just remember to admire them from a safe distance and always respect their space.
