This little guy has been stopping by daily for some kudzu near the cabin. 🐻 He's a yearling just struggling to find his way on his own.

It's nice to observe them from a distance. Just remember never to feed a bear (even by leaving food out accidentally), do not approach, and always keep trash secured and car doors locked. A fed bear is a dead bear.

One of our favorite things is reading our guest book! It almost always brings a tear to the eye. Knowing how many people are making happy memories at Bear Moon is such a gift! We feel the energy of all those good times and are over the moon that so many others have found Bear Moon Cabin to be the happy place that it is for us!

We hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving. 🦃 What are you thankful for this year? We are always thankful for spending time with family and with mother nature. We were thankful for such vibrant fall colors this year. We are ever so thankful for our caretaker Sissy who takes such good care of the cabin when we aren't there. And we are thankful for our guests! The happiness and memories made are palpable at Bear Moon. We read each entry in our guests book aloud and I can never get through them without tearing up. The cabin is our happy place and we're so grateful so many others feel the same!

We often have questions based on old reviews about our driveway. It is easy now that it has asphalt! These photos don't show it well, but I have a question about it now out there and this is all I have on my phone to show. Now as for the roads in general in the Smokies? Well cared for, but you better get used to winding, narrow and steep ... just not at Bear Moon!
