10 years ago today I sat at the front desk incredibly anxious for the first camper to cross the bridge. It feels like yesterday and a lifetime ago at the same time. Opening on a Holiday weekend felt a bit crazy, and it was. The campground went from zero guests to 500 guests in one afternoon. Tension was high and there was nothing but doubt. Is everything going to function? Can four eager employees run a campground? Well, we did it.

I can't begin to thank all of our amazing guests and dedicated staff for the last ten years. It hasn't come without hiccups: overcoming incredible odds, raising a daughter, losing loved ones, building a team, and most of all creating a place for people from all over the world to make memories. Thank you and here's to the next decade.

Get ready for a BIG Memorial Day Weekend at Greenbrier! This Memorial Day marks our 10th anniversary under new ownership and management. We could not be more proud of our office and housekeeping staff, the maintenance crew responsible for the gorgeous grounds, and each and every amazing guest over the last decade. There are still a few remaining cabins and RV sites available, so book now! www.smokymountaincamping.com

The weekend activities will begin on Friday, May 22, with the Warman Trio Band, followed by an evening cookout on Saturday and movie on the grass, Sunday enjoy brunch, face painting with Mizz Mandala, kids activities and BINGO. Monday, May 25, we will begin our daily kids camps. Looking forward to another great Summer!
