Fairways Vista is the perfect home base for your Great Smoky Mountains hikes. After climbing 400 feet, the Cumberland Gap Trail, had a peaceful surrounding with the sun barely peaking through the tree canopy. 🦃You could hear birds and the little river close by. And I even saw a turkey. 🦃

So many old cabins and homesites can be explored near the little river trail. This one appears to still be used. Anyone know what for? I loved the back landing.

🏝️The Island in Pigeon Forge🏝️

There is so much to see at the Island. We walked over the new bridge connecting the island and the three bears general store and enjoyed a nice walk while also enjoying everything the Island has to offer. I love exploring all the sites close by to Fairways Vista.

I love escaping the crowds and taking a walk down River Road. I always feel a little closer to nature among all the busyness of the strip.

🌧️Rainy Day Alert🌧️

One of the best rainy day tips in the smoky mountains is finding a great place to watch it rain. Fairways Vista has a large private screened in balcony great for listening to nature. It might be board games and puzzles later. Then maybe some waterfall chasing when the skies clear.

☀️Day trip ideas

A short drive to Fairways Vista is Biltmore Estate in Asheville,NC. I love driving through the estate and seeing the majestic turkey taking a spin. It is definitely worth a trip to explore the house and gardens if you are looking to find something outside of the Smoky Mountains.

🐻Bear feeding is illegal in Tennessee🐻

Did you know that beginning July 1st it is a criminal offense to feed a black bear in certain parts of the state? These bears at Fairways Vista have found their way around that rule.
