The Hearth — a place to return to.

This home has lived in my head for years.
I designed it myself — inside and out — shaping it slowly around the way I believe we should live when we step away from the noise.

Built around fire, water, wood, and rest. The Hearth was created as a place to gather, to reconnect with nature, and to move through simple rituals — warming by the fire, cooking over open flame, bathing outdoors surrounded by nature, cooling in the forest air, and coming back inside to stillness.

To celebrate opening the doors, I’m giving away a stay at The Hearth.

How to enter:
Send a postcard to the address listed on our profile.

Postcards must be postmarked by December 31.

We’ll choose our winner in the new year. The selected guest will have their choice of three weekend dates between January–March, or weekday dates if preferred. Winner will be able to bring 3 guests to enjoy with them.

Winter is here, and Greenhouse Cottage is officially open up for the snowy season ❄️

This is one of my favorite times of year at the cottage — the snowbelt turns everything into a little snow globe, the lake freezes over, and the fireplace becomes the heart of the house.

We’re running discounts on all stays now through the end of December, and I wanted to share a little reminder of what winter looks like up here:

They guys over BASE Contracting understood the assignment when I asked them to build my deck! Check out the built in hammock they put in for our new project The Hearth.

Our phenomenal builder, Amanda, did everything else you see on the outside. Her attention to detail is impeccable.

We are so lucky to have found these amazing folks to help us bring the vision to life!
