🐾 Meet the Unofficial GOTL Strip Greeters! ❤️🐶

Well… Lily and Oliver proudly gave themselves the title. 😄 Emmitt? He’d much rather hide behind my legs. 😂 But here’s the best part…

He doesn’t want to run away anymore. 🥹💙 Yayyyyy, E!!!

Every time we’re out on the Strip, people of all ages stop to admire Lily, Oliver, and Emmitt. One of my favorite things to hear is:

“Can I pet your dogs?”

First, thank you to everyone who asks. That simple act of respect means so much. ❤️

Before anyone gets pets, everyone sits. Then I tell Lily, “Go say hi!” She happily greets her new friend, comes back for another sit, and then it’s Oliver’s turn. They absolutely LIVE for these moments.

Lily and Ollie were trained as Therapy Dogs, and while they’re unofficially retired from that work, it’s obvious their hearts never retired. They thrive on human connection, gentle pets, smiling faces, and making someone’s day just a little brighter. 🥰

As for Emmitt…his journey has been a little different.

Instead of asking people to greet him, I simply say:
“Please don’t look at him or talk to him.”

And I can’t tell you how grateful I am that everyone has been so respectful. That kindness is helping Emmitt learn that the world isn’t so scary after all. Surrounded by children, bicycles, wheelchairs, motorcycles rumbling by, classic cars, food smells, music, and crowds, he’s learning something new every day:

People are okay…and Mom has his back. ❤️

Watching his confidence slowly grow has been one of the greatest gifts.

And selfishly? I love it too.

I get to meet wonderful people, hear their dog stories, learn where they’re visiting from, and watch complete strangers leave with a smile because they shared a few moments with three very special pups.

That’s a pretty great day in my book.

It’s truly a win-win for everyone. 🐾❤️
